Taking you way beyond the on board analytics functionality with Heat and Click Maps, deep Search insights, and simple, ‘drag-and-drop’ custom reporting
Infodash is an Intranet/Extranet platform built specifically for Law Firms. Built on top of Microsoft SharePoint Online, Infodash provides a comprehensive toolset to help your employees connect, collaborate and stay productive, regardless of where they’re physically located.
NGAGE and Infodash have partnered to provide a comprehensive out-of-the-box Behavioral Analytics experience that spans both Infodash-specific and generic SharePoint functionality.
Essentially, that means you get everything that NGAGE for SharePoint Online delivers plus automatic reporting around the rendering of and user interactions with Infodash components such as Banners, Carousels, People Directory, FAQs and Events Web Parts. And you also get deep insights into Infodash Guided Search. Only NGAGE can give you this ‘single source of the truth’ of how your Infodash Intranet/Extranet is performing.
Each page in your intranet matters. Each one needs great design, engaging content and functionality that supports daily workflows. With one click on the pop-out NGAGE Blade you can ‘live’ the user experience it’s delivering – right where it happens. With real-time Heat, Click and Scroll Maps, Audience Feedback campaign results and headline metrics around interactions with Web Parts, Search and AI tools, content owners have everything they need to drive performance improvement.
Designing, building and sustaining a successful SharePoint intranet is a relentless, multi-faceted challenge. Leadership teams need ‘big picture’ KPIs and insights to oversee the mission and to help them intervene early and accurately where there are performance and governance issues. The NGAGE Power BI Reporting Suite delivers on this. And much more, including the facility for rapid custom report development.
One click opens the NGAGE Blade that lives inside your SharePoint page. Apply Date and User Profile filters that define your target audiences. Review Page Maps, KPIs, and core behavior trends. Identify action points. Launch and monitor Audience Feedback campaigns. Capture screenshots or jump to governed, drillable Power BI views. Note that every Content Owner can be empowered with these essential analytics – without elevating SharePoint permissions or providing a Power BI license.
Interaction Analytics Track Web Part interactions (Custom and Infodash), top Search terms, Link clicks, and AI agent sessions launched from your page. Because counting Visitors and Page Views is important. But it’s what people do when they land that really matters.
Color‑coded density reveals top interaction zones—ideal for prioritizing hero content and primary CTAs. And for identifying wasted ‘real estate’. And where users are clicking on non-interactive content.
Counts and ranks interactions on tracked Web Parts and Links so you know which components are working for users. Note that you can specify what elements and behaviors get tracked from the Settings tab in the Blade.
Discover reach and linger points to eliminate ‘false bottoms’ and aim to surface critical content earlier. Know what’s been seen and read ‘below the fold’. And what hasn’t.
Track and trend your Unique Visitor counts. Understand their profiles in terms of the most prominent Departments, Locations and Job Titles – and of the devices and browsers they’re using
See Page View trends by Department, Location and Job Title. See Page Load Times, non-idle Visitor Time‑on‑Page, Busiest Hour, and navigation Sources/Destinations.
Use the Blade to configure, launch and monitor targeted feedback campaigns, so
each of your audiences can help you to be measurably more successful in delivering
on their needs.

We’ve made the NGAGE Blade experience simple and intuitive. Save your own go‑to filter sets so they are auto‑cached nightly for responsiveness.
Click the camera icon to download a clean screenshot of any of the Blade’s analytics sections – so you can save and share a specific insight with those that don’t have direct access.
Select the ‘This Site Collection’ tab for aggregated Visitor, Page View and Interaction metrics – and headline analytics around File Views and Downloads.
In all cases it’s simple to filter the Blade’s maps, metrics and surveys to each of your target audiences - defined by any combination of Practice Group/Department, Job Title, Office Location and any custom user groups you’ve created.
And if you have the required license/permission, one click can take you to the NGAGE Power BI Reporting Suite. You have the choice of jumping to the page-specific reports – or to the home page of the master SharePoint reporting suite.
With just one scroll the Blade will identify all the Web Parts on your page. It then allows you to specify exactly how each is to be tracked and whether those user interactions are to be reported in the Blade and/or the Power BI Reporting suite.
NGAGE provides rich reporting around who, how and when people interact with Sites and Content so that Owners can continuously improve the value they deliver to their various audiences.
Who visits your site? From where and with which device/browser? How long do they stay? How do they navigate around the site and what Files do they choose to View or Download? Which of your Custom or Infodash Web Parts do they use? And how exactly are they interacting with them? Are their segments of your organization whom you’re failing to engage?
However much you invest in UI design and information architecture it’s often users’ satisfaction with their Guided Search experience that will define the real and perceived value of your portal.
NGAGE tracks user behavior and outcomes in relation to Search Terms, Refiners, Result Sources and Result Selection. It gives you everything you need know to keep improving in this critical area.
NGAGE allows you to create any number of ‘Super Users’ who will have visibility of NGAGE analytics in relation to your whole SharePoint environment. Otherwise, a user can only see data relating to Sites of which they are a Site Owner or Administrator.
Alternatively, you can use a model that’s unrelated to SharePoint and grant permissions on a Site-by-Site basis to Azure Active Directory Groups. And note that Power BI itself provides multiple features for customizing, exporting and sharing reports with any number of audiences.
in support of both Communications and Knowledge Management agendas NGAGE provides deep information around who, where, when and how people choose to create, upload and modify content. And where they don’t.
NGAGE provides Administrators and Governance teams with a deeply drillable ‘top down’ view of how their SharePoint environment is growing and changing and where governance and compliance can be improved, for example around Site Creation and Inactive Sites.
NGAGE also brings a strong audit compliance functionality. So you can know the specific behaviors of any named user. And who and how and when any piece of content has been touched. And who has not complied with a specific requirement, for example, to download an important document. With NGAGE you are never more than a few clicks away from the answers you need.
When the out-of-the-box reports aren’t quite what you want, it’s simple to create and share the precise custom reports you need. Because Microsoft Power BI is an intuitive, easy-to-learn reporting and publishing tool. And because NGAGE’s ‘Cube’ contains hundreds of pre-built calculations that you can simply ‘drag and drop’ to create your perfect view.
The NGAGE SharePoint Intranet Analytics solution is hosted securely in your own Azure subscription. It uses several of Azure’s PaaS (Platform as a Service) features to capture and process data about your environment and how it is being used. NGAGE uses Azure Functions to sync with Azure Active Directory and to maintain a definition of your SharePoint topology.
Behavioral data around SharePoint and Infodash components is captured using JavaScript injection techniques and by leveraging the Graph API. Azure Service Bus is used to provide virtually unlimited messaging scalability and resilience. Data is processed and stored in an Azure SQL Data Warehouse. This is consumed by a Tabular Cube which can be hosted in Power BI Premium or Azure Analysis Services. NGAGE also leverages DevOps pipelines and Azure Lighthouse to ensure smooth product deployment and ongoing support.
3-Step Data Journey: From Tracking to Insights

NGAGE tracks data from various sources using Microsoft APIs and script injection for comprehensive tracking. It also provides APIs for easy integration and tracking of custom apps hosted on Microsoft Site, Teams, or PowerPlatform apps and flows.

NGAGE stores data on your cloud tenant efficiently, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. By following Azure best practices, it scales down plans to save costs, and allows users to configure and decide what data to track based on their needs.

NGAGE uses the star schema model for its ETL process, optimizing data cleaning and organization for tabular cubes. This flexible ETL runs independently on integration services, allowing hosting on VMs or serverless environments, and the cubes can be hosted in analysis services, making them accessible to any reporting tools.
